A baker's dozen of great entertainment

A dozen tales of fantasy, a dozen shades of styles and a baker's dozen of entertainment. The writing ranges from the familiar Sword and Sorcery such as Gav Thorpe's “The Blessed and the Cursed” and Lou Morgan's “Oak” to the delightfully chaotic “Smokestack Lighting” by by Gavin G. Smith. Editor Ian Whates selected each story to be a delectable morsel beautifully prepared which, when consumed, leaves the reader craving more. Highly recommended for fantasy readers who enjoy variety.

Good fun and lots of different stories most of which follow the style of the great late David Gemmell The many authors have done a great job and it was like reading a bit of his work again. Well worth a look if you are a Gemmell fan.

Good fantasy

I really enjoyed the stories in this book. They were well written, and had characters that grabbed my attention. This can be hard to do in a short story format. I recommend this book for any fantasy lovers. A fitting tribute to a great author.
