They show how to choose a screen name, sift through incoming requests, and sound "light and breezy" in ads and replies. The most troubling aspect of this book is that it works counterintuitively to the very essence of online dating. For example, the authors forbid women to take any initiative, telling them to wait 24 hours before responding to e-mail, never participate in Instant Messaging or chat rooms, answer all e-mail in three sentences or fewer of chipper-sounding rhetoric, and stop talking to a man who doesn't ask them out within four messages. Although it makes sense for a couple to go on "date zero" (meet in person) before they grow too attached, there is a lot the pair can learn from each other by openly corresponding online before dating, the authors' strictures notwithstanding. The "light and breezy" tack will work against a woman seeking a relationship built on communication and trust, and men will feel put off by this seemingly manipulative strategy. Way too dated

I ended up having to skip large sections of this book because it's just too dated. I was hoping for more information about trying to weather the storm of online dating with texting and social media apps like Tinder, Facebook, Bumble, OKCupid... there's countless options out there and it's all so overwhelming. This book actually goes into a full blown explanation about what an "IM" is. Really???

There may be some tidbits in there that still resonate in today's plugged in world, but I found the short chapter on online dating more valuable in "It's just a F***ing date" than this entire book.

The best medical pathology text in the market. It is a complete text that is unsurpassed for pathology. Although it is large it is easy reading inside and gives you a full understanding. If you want to learn medicine, read it!

Finally! Pathology Makes Sense Now!

Being a second year medical student, the only text that my instructors seem to know about is Robbins. Robbins is a nice text I do admit, but I find it lacking in clarity and compact to the point of confusion. Anderson's (while I admit, comes in 2 volumes and weighs 20 pounds it seems) explains all! It fills in all the gaps (which I much admit are large) which Robbins creates. A nice feature of this text is an abundance of gross pictures, simple charts that list different tumor locations and their incidences, and the highlights of molecular biology without telling minutiae like the particular part of a chromosome arm that a gene is located on. I'm only getting started! In summary, if you're a pathology resident or medical student who wishes to clear a great mist of confusion surrounding pathology, then get this text! Not only will you learn pathology, but you'll increase your upper body strength carrying around this great tome!

Bob MacAllister, trying to escape a failed romance, takes off into the unknown, where fate leads him to the Simmons Apple Orchard, where he is taken in by Lynne, the single mom of 13-year-old Jill. Over the next five years the three of them become a family, and then more, somehow, as both Bob and Lynne heal from the slings and arrows of damaged love, and Jill begins to explore the big, wide world of her own feelings. Nothing seems to go as expected, though. Jill has a boyfriend, but they don't act like a couple. Bob lives in the house with the women, but is really just an employee. Coincidence, like waves in the ocean, toss the three this way and that, until suddenly a most unlikely destination is arrived at - a destination that none of them would have dreamed could exist, where two women can love one man, and he can give them both what they need emotionally and physically.

Can't Beat Bob

This book is really great. Once I read my first book by Lubrican I ended up buying 27 (yes, I counted) more of his books. His books are fun and sexy. Who can resist a man who "makes loving fun". I guess I am officially a fan. Try it. You won't be sorry, but your pocketbook might.

Stepping beyond the social envelope

This was another great book by Robert Lubrican that drew erotic images within a believable story. The hero in this tale is a heartbroken young man who just stumbles into the purview of an attractive widow and her precocious daughter. What develops in this titilating encounter is a permanent relationship that pushes the envelope of mutual trust, love and sex! A well-thought out plot with exciting twists that you wonder how the author will resolve. And 'resolve' he does with graceful, but humorous aplomb. A memorable and delightful read.
