Rejecting both the unfounded optimism of the early 1990s and the cynical pessimism of more recent years, Professor Mayall points to the strong elements of continuity in international life. He concludes that international society is unlikely to be successfully reformed if governments continue to will progressive ends whilst evading responsibility for their actions.

James Mayall is Sir Patrick Sheehy Professor of International Relations at the University of Cambridge, and Fellow of Sidney Sussex College. He has written widely on nationalism, international society, and Africa's international relations.

The physical therapy really works.

I received Isa's book on February 11, 2015, read the book in two days and started with doing the reverse kegels the on the third day. I added yoga stretches a few days later. I perform the stretches 3 times a day. I have had pelvic pain to varying degrees over the past five years. I got the typical response from two different Urologist that you outline in your book. I am amazed with the progress that I have made. It was so bad in the past six months that I avoided sitting whenever possible. I had even made a cushion with a cut out so there was no pressure on my pelvic muscles. I don't use the cushion anymore and I can sit on almost any seat. I have a life again. We are leaving on vacation in two weeks. We haven't had a vacation in two years. I plan to expand into the Pilates ball strengthening when I get back from vacation. Please let Isa know how much I appreciate the research she has done and the book she has written

This is the best book I've read on this subject matter
and as such I thought I should bring to it some justice and rate it the way it's deserved to be rated . after I bought it I saw that mrs Herrera also wrote the female version of this book and it
was unsurprising for me to see the great reviews she got there basing it on the excellent job she has done with the male version ppl who suffer from urinary leakage not just pain can also refer to this book as there's some ambiguity in the naming of this syndrome which not only manifest itself in pain but also in urinary and sexual symptoms so anyone with these kind of problems may be interested in reading this book from a lay person who have been afflicted for a long long time by some of the problems that this book seek to solve I can say that
I could only wish that I've crossed ways with the info in this book long time ago this is a syndrome which a lot of ppl suffer from silently this book not only offers a way to over come it but also offer a voice to those people without prejudice and with the most compelling understanding

Highly recommend this guide to all men

My physical therapist recommended I purchase this book as it is a well-written and comprehensive guide to restoring male pelvic health. I've found the information in it extremely useful and beneficial to my health. Would recommend this to any guy with urinary frequency, pain during sex, pain with/after ejaculation, any pain in the pelvic region, and even incontinence. I am an avid weightlifter and I push my body to the limits, which my pelvic floor has not responded to very well. Compounding that with anxiety and stress, men can find themselves with lots of problems down below - and it is often not your prostate, "IBS," or any other term used to diagnose something when a doctor can't quite figure out what's wrong.

The Core of Jungian Psychology

What makes this book especially valuable is the fact that it was written shortly after Jung's death, by one of his closest collaborator. Jolande Jacobi had already published a book on the psychology of Carl Jung prior to this one, but "The Way of Individuation" deals specifically with the process of individuation, which is central to Jung's thinking. While discussing the key concept of individuation Jacobi also explains all the basics of Jungian psychology. This makes it a great introduction to Carl Jung.

The back cover says that "The Way of Individuation" was written to make the core of Jungian thought accessible to the general reader. It is an essential interpretation for all who seek to understand Jung's vision of the path that human beings must follow to attain full selfhood." This is a perfect summary of what this little book of 150 pages is all about. It has been written in a very accessible language, except that it is a translation from the German. So it might be a bit less fluid than one would wish. But it's the same problem with many books on Jungian psychology that were originally written in German.

What I found particularly interesting was the short biography of the author at the end of the book. Jolande Jacobi was an important figure in Jung's entourage but she remains an obscure figure today. Most fortunately the last chapter of the book offers a fine summary of her life and explains the role she played in popularizing Jung's psychology. We also learn that the extraordinary dream that was presented anonymously in the middle of the book was actually the author's own dream which she had made about six months after meeting Carl Jung for the first time when she invited him to give a conference in Vienna. After the conference she gave a reception at her house and Jung used the opportunity to introduce her to the I Ching, which made a great impression on Jacobi.

Even if you are already familiar with Jungian psychology I believe this little gem offers a unique contribution that gives immediate access to the core of his teachings. It is certainly overdue for a reedition, and there are no substitutes for it.

About the Author
Blain Brown was educated at C.W. Post College; M.I.T. and Harvard Graduate School of Design. He began in New York as a commercial still photographer before starting in the film business. After working as a gaffer, be became a cinematographer doing primarily commercials and music videos. After completing his first feature film, he moved to Los Angeles where he has been Director of Photography on 14 feature films as well as national commercials, promotional films, industrials, music videos and documentaries. He has worked in many states in the U.S. as well as Mexico, Canada, India, Italy, France, the Philippines and Jordan. His experience includes 35mm and 16mm projects, as well as 24P High Def, DigiBeta, BetaSP and DV. He has completed projects as a director, editor and screenwriter; with three screenplays produced. He has also taught courses in storytelling and visual communication. As a Director of Photography specializing in features and commercials, he is now based in Los Angeles.
